The Denver Broncos put on a snoozer alongside the New York Jets in London, said color analyst Rich Eisen. Eisen called the game alongside Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner on Sunday morning over in the states.
“Do I look older to you than the last time I saw you,” joked Eisen to his crew on The Rich Eisen Show on Monday. “Because calling the Jets-Broncos game aged me. It aged me. It aged me. It aged me. I felt for all the Brits for whom that might have been their first NFL action.”
The Jets had -10 passing yards in the game, and only 82 yards of total offense, while the game only featured 24 points.
“The thing that I just wanted to express while calling the game with Kurt was how difficult it was–both teams,” Eisen said. “I mean, the Jets defense balled out…but man, the Jets offense made your eyes bleed.”
The NFL Network crew was maligned by NFL fans for poor camera shots, not-so-great play-by-play action and explanations of pivotal points in the game. It remains to be seen if the crew of Eisen and Warner will be seen again this season, in any of the other overseas games.
You can view Eisen’s full five minute remarks below. The Broncos look to get on the right track, and win their fourth game in a row against the New York Giants.
