Former Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl has dropped out of the race to become Rangers’ new head coach.

The 36-year-old is the latest to turn down the Ibrox job while former boss Steven Gerrard withdrew at the weekend.

Shanghai Port manager Kevin Muscat, who played for the club in the early 2000s, is emerging as the favourite to take over from Russell Martin.
