2 draft prospects to watch in Georgia Tech vs. Duke

The Chicago Bears should be looking down all avenues when evaluating the 2026 NFL Draft. There are players all over the college football landscape that you should be watching if you are an NFL executive trying to better your team.

Nobody should discount the game between Georgia Tech and Duke. Many of their young men are fighting for the opportunity to impact a game between two good teams. Duke is 4-2, which is no joke, but the 6-0 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have their eyes on the College Football Playoff.

This important matchup has two players in it that the Bears should be watching, with the idea that they can help them win:

Eric Rivers, WR, Georgia Tech

The Bears are going to be drafting receivers at times while Ben Johnson is their head coach. His mindset is offense, which is going to be evident with his picks. Taking one at any stage of the 2026 NFL Draft is possible with the way the front office is currently constructed. Eric Rivers, a wide receiver from Georgia Tech, is a candidate to be taken in the middle rounds of the draft. The Bears could be looking at him in this game against a decent Duke team to see how he performs. Through six games, he has one receiving touchdown and 236 yards on 20 receptions. If he can improve his total targets, which is mostly out of his control, he could get those numbers up even more.

Chandler Rivers, CB, Duke

Never avoid crossing all rivers when trying to find good players for your NFL team. Chandler Rivers is six games into his fourth year at Duke, and he’s been solid. He has 22 total tackles, two for a loss (which isn’t common for defensive backs), four pass deflections, and one interception. If the Bears are looking to take a risk on a mid-round corner, Rivers will be someone to consider. He could become a star, but even his baseline of being a serviceable roster player is a reason to consider him.
