What should we expect for the Boston Celtics on opening night and early in the 2025-26 NBA regular season? Now that preseason for the Celtics is over, and we have a rough idea of what this version of the team is, we can see what a retooling roster can pull off against Boston’s Atlantic Division rivals as they face the Philadelphia 76ers for their first game of the season — and less than two weeks later on the road.
In between, the Celtics hit the ground running with tilts vs. the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, New Orleans Pelicans, and Cleveland Cavaliers, wasting little time getting into the thick of some of the tougher Eastern Conference games on Boston’s schedule. The hosts of “Havlicek Stole the Pod” sat down with Sixers Wire editor Ky Carlin to talk over the Philly-heavy start to the season for Boston, giving us an outside point of view of what this Boston team is — and where it may finish in the East.
We even get into what might be a new league-wide tradition sparked by the evil genius of coach Joe Mazzulla, so be sure to tune in!
