Could the injury picked up by Jaylen Brown cost the Boston Celtics a playoff berth? If it does, should we even care, given that this team is in the midst of its first retooling campaign since guard Kyrie Irving left the team in free agency to team up with Kevin Durant on the Brooklyn Nets?

Brown suffered a hamstring pull late in the first half in the last tilt of the Celtics’ 2025-26 preseason slate, with his potential return coming as late as several weeks into the 2025-26 regular season. The hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Beat” podcast, Adam Kaufman and Evan Valenti, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about when the Georgia native might return, and what it could mean for the Celtics.
