The way the Cowboys secondary has been playing so far in 2025, every offensive player has their matchup against Dallas circled on their schedule. It’s become a get-right game for mediocre quarterbacks such as Russell Wilson, Caleb Williams and most recently Bryce Young. Jayden Daniels is certainly equipped to take advantage of the porous secondary of Matt Eberflus’ troops, the question is who will he be targeting?
On Friday, Washington ruled out top wide receiver Terry McLaurin, as he is still unable to go after a Week 3 quad injury. That turned all of the focus on to WR Deebo Samuel who was listed as questionable on the final injury report. Brought over from the 49ers in the offseason, Samuel was supposed to be the second half of the dynamic duo, but much like George Pickens has had it without CeeDee Lamb, Samuel has had to endure without McLaurin playing opposite him.
Unfortunately for fantasy owners of Samuel, he too will miss the game against the Cowboys fragile secondary. His heel injury led him to be left behind as the team boarded the plane to travel to Dallas for Sunday afternoon’s matchup. The eigth-year receiver has been ruled out as well.
Washington has already moved Noah Brown to IR, and they are entering this game without their two top receivers. Chris Moore and Luke McCaffrey will populate the club’s starting lineup on Sunday, with fourth-round rookie Jaylin Lane expected to get a lot of playing time as well.
