New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez was questionable last week with a hamstring injury, but he was ultimately able to play and help the team defeat the New Orleans Saints on the road.
But what about Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans?
Gonzalez has been a full participant for the Patriots all week at practice, and he is expected to be on the field for the matchup. There was initially some concern that he might have experienced a setback with the hamstring injury he suffered in training camp, but he looked good moving around on the field against the Saints.
The fact that he’s had no limitations at practice is a great sign for the Patriots. His presence in the secondary is impactful every week given his ability to take away a team’s top receiving target.
One has to wonder who that will be for the Titans this week with veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley being ruled out for the game with a hamstring injury.
