Fantasy football waiver wire: 13 players to add for NFL Week 10

Hate to say we told you two weeks ago – back when he was rostered in just 7% of fantasy football leagues – that you needed to pick up Bears RB Kyle Monangai. The rookie broke out on Sunday filling in for starter D’Andre Swift, rushing for 176 yards and catching three passes for 22 more. But just as quickly as it opened, the window is closing on Monangai’s stud status as Swift prepares to return.

Success is fleeting in this game. Yet we press onward, looking for the next waiver wire win.

WEEK 10 BYES: Cincinnati, Dallas, Kansas City, Tennessee

Byes are still an issue for many fantasy managers. And the arrival of the NFL trade deadline could (but likely won’t) involve some fantasy-relevant players finding new homes. Let’s see what we can find.

Fantasy football players to add for Week 10

Due to the wide variance in types of leagues and individual team needs, the players listed here include their availability rates in Yahoo leagues, which may or may not match rates on other platforms. If you have bye week issues, feel free to go the extra dollar. (Suggested bid values based on $100 free agent acquisition budget for the season.)

TE Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears (24% rostered)

The rookie first-round draft pick has been a disappointment for his fantasy managers this season, especially since he was drafted 10th overall by the Bears, four spots ahead of the Colts taking Tyler Warren. But on Sunday, he delivered a signature performance that hopefully was a sign of great things to come. Loveland set career highs across the board with six catches, 118 yards and two touchdowns – the last one a 58-yarder in the final seconds for the game-winning score that rightly deserved the NFL Films treatment. (Suggested FAAB bid: $15)

WR Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts (27%)

The Colts offense is more than just RB Jonathan Taylor and TE Tyler Warren. (Most of the time, at least.) QB Daniel Jones does occasionally like to spread the ball around. That was the case against Pittsburgh, when Taylor and Warren were minimized and the receiving corps had to step forward. Pierce tied Michael Pittman Jr. with 155 receiving yards apiece as they combined for 25 targets. Josh Downs (55% rostered) also had six grabs for 57 yards and a TD. Get any piece you can of the NFL’s No. 2 offense. (FAAB bid: $11)

TE Luke Musgrave, Green Bay Packers (1%)

Packers tight end Luke Musgrave caught three passes for 34 yards in the fourth quarter vs. Carolina after starter Tucker Kraft left with a knee injury.

Tucker Kraft had been a fantasy revelation this year at tight end, but he suffered a torn ACL on Sunday, ending his season after averaging 14.7 PPR fantasy points per game. That mark is currently the third-highest at the position. Musgrave will try to fill the void and should receive plenty of attention from QB Jordan Love – who, let’s just say, really really likes throwing to his tight end. (FAAB bid: $10)

WR Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars (18%)

With Travis Hunter on injured reserve and slumping Brian Thomas Jr. sustaining an ankle injury on Sunday, the Jaguars have a definite need for a go-to wide receiver. Washington appeared ready to take over that role after catching eight passes for 90 yards in an overtime win over the Raiders. However, that was before the Jags acquired WR Jakobi Meyers from those same Raiders just before the trade deadline. Washington has the inside track to lead the team in receiving again this week at Houston, but his fantasy value likely drops from here on out. (FAAB bid: $7)

RB Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams (9%)

Welcome to the backup running back portion of our show, where the search continues for the next Kyle Monangai. Corum could be that guy (that gai?) if anything should happen to starter Kyren Williams. In a blowout win over the Saints on Sunday, Corum logged a season highs with 13 carries for 58 yards. He even showed some explosiveness with a 21-yard burst in the second quarter. The Rams love to throw though, so Corum’s value will likely be touchdown-dependent. (FAAB bid: $6)

RB Devin Singletary, New York Giants (5%)

Singletary — not last week’s waiver wire headliner, Tyrone Tracy — ended up leading the Giants backfield in touches and yardage for Week 9. His totals were modest (eight carries, 43 yards), but more telling was that Singletary played a season-high 31 snaps, compared to 25 for Tracy. This backfield is still a mess, though, in the absence of Cam Skattebo. And QB Jaxson Dart is the one most likely to score a rushing touchdown. (FAAB bid: $5)

RB Dylan Sampson, Cleveland Browns (17%)

If Quinshon Judkins isn’t fully recovered from the shoulder injury that forced him out of the Browns‘ Week 8 game, then Sampson becomes a sneaky add for this week. He’s already getting decent work in the passing game (five catches for 29 yards vs. New England), so Judkins’ absence would make Sampson considerably more valuable in the short term. (FAAB bid: $5, depending on injury news)

RB Isaiah Davis, New York Jets (14%)

The NFL trade deadline arrives before most fantasy leagues’ waiver deadlines, so you’ll probably know if the Jets have traded Breece Hall when it’s time to finalize your claims. Obviously, if Hall is dealt, Davis goes into the starting lineup and to the top of the waiver priority list. But even if Hall stays put, Davis is seeing a larger workload than he was earlier in the season, especially in the passing game. (FAAB bid: $5, with no trade)

WR Tory Horton, Seattle Seahawks (5%)

Everyone on the Seahawks looked good in a Sunday night romp over the Commanders. Horton filled in for the injured Cooper Kupp and made the most of his opportunity, catching four passes for 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Kupp’s status will determine how much work Horton will see in Week 10, but he’s shown he’s up to the challenge when needed. (FAAB bid: $5)

RB Emari Demercado, Arizona Cardinals (7%)

Demercado surprisingly led the Arizona backfield in touches Monday night, momentarily surpassing his career high in rushing yards before a loss on his final carry put him back at 79 yards. That came after Bam Knight apparently had surpassed him in the Cardinals’ pecking order. All those issues could be moot this week as Trey Benson is eligible to be activated off injured reserve for a tough matchup at Seattle. (FAAB bid: $4)

WR DeMario Douglas, New England Patriots (4%)

Douglas doesn’t offer much in the way of consistency, but when he hits, he hits big. Against the Falcons, “Pop” did just that by catching four passes for 100 yards and a TD, aided somewhat by Kayshon Boutte exiting early with a hamstring injury. The matchup this week won’t be an easy one at Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers coming off their bye. (FAAB bid: $3)

WR Darius Slayton, New York Giants (35%)

Wan’Dale Robinson (76% rostered) has assumed the role of the Giants’ volume receiver, while Slayton slots in as the big-play threat. He caught five of his seven targets on Sunday for 62 yards, marking his best production of the season. The G-Men get to face the Bears secondary this week, so look for Slayton to get plenty of looks from QB Jaxson Dart. (FAAB bid: $3)

RB Emanuel Wilson, Green Bay Packers (9%)

More of a security blanket than anything else (and who doesn’t need a blanket in Green Bay these days?), Wilson tallied six carries for 16 yards spelling starter Josh Jacobs. He also caught one of his two targets for 1 yard. Jacobs isn’t going anywhere with 10 rushing TDs on the season, but if he were to suffer an injury, Wilson would step into an excellent situation as the clear No. 2. (FAAB bid: $2)
