Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman had to be held back after being grabbed by his manager Ivan Juric on Wednesday night.
Juric substituted the 28-year-old in the second-half of their Champions League game against Marseille that the Serie A side went on to win 1-0.
And as the winger came off the pitch, he appeared to say something to the Croatian boss that sparked a furious reaction from him.
Juric immediately grabbed Lookman’s arm before CEO Luca Percassi and team-mate Marten de Roon separated the player from his head coach to prevent further escalation.
The former Everton star looked shocked and angered by his manager’s behaviour.

The incident occurred when the scores were 0-0, with Lookman replaced by Yunus Musah.
With five minutes remaining, Juric introduced Lazar Samardzic for Charles De Ketelaere, who had earlier failed to convert a penalty.
The former Southampton manager’s change paid off as Samardzic grabbed an 89th-minute winner for his team.
Lookman joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2022.
He has been a key player for the Italian side, scoring 53 goals and providing 25 assists in 127 senior appearances.
But the forward’s spell in Bergamo has been marred by disciplinary issues.
He had a public exchange of words with Gian Piero Gasperini earlier this year after being described ‘one of the worst penalty takers’ by the former boss.
