AUBURN — The latest SEC availability report provided a couple positive updates for Auburn football‘s matchup with No. 16 Vanderbilt on Saturday, Nov. 8, (3 p.m. CT, SECN) the most notable being linebacker Elijah Melendez going from questionable to probable.
A true freshman, Melendez has been one of the Tigers’ most productive defenders this fall, with 22 tackles, three tackles for loss and an interception and sack each.
Kicker Connor Gibbs, who handles Auburn‘s kickoff duties, joined Melendez with the same improved listing. Tight end Brandon Frazier and defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford remained questionable.

When’s the next update? Explaining SEC’s weekly availability reports
The SEC posts multiple availability reports throughout the week heading into conference matchups, with initial reports required to be posted by 7 p.m. CT Wednesday. Additional reports arrive no later than 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday evening, with a final pregame availability report no later than 90 minutes before kickoff, meaning this week’s final report will come no later than 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
According to reporting policy, “probable” describes a player with at least 75% expectancy of playing, “questionable” means a player has a 50% chance of playing, and “doubtful” means a player is unlikely to play, or has a 25% chance of being available.
Availability reports don’t include details on injuries, nor additional context surrounding a player’s status.
