Rangers want Genk defender Mujaid Sadick

Rangers are interested in recruiting the services of Genk defender Mujaid Sadick, according to Sky Sports Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri. Rangers will look to strengthen their options across all departments at the Ibrox club to support new manager Danny Rohl. Some January additions are expected at the Scottish Premiership club, and the Bears have made enquiries as they look to add the 30-year-old Sadick to their squad.

The 6ft 1in Spanish defender has spent five seasons in the Belgian top-flight and recently extended his contract until 2028. However, he could be on his way out in the coming months if Rangers make a concrete move for him. It remains to be seen whether the Bears have plans to sign him in January or wait until the summer transfer window. They could do with his services in the second half of 2025-26 following an underwhelming start to the campaign.

Rangers have lost all their four games in the Europa League so far, suffering a 2-0 loss to AS Roma last night at Ibrox following earlier defeats at the hands of Brann, Sturm Graz and Genk.
