NEW YORK — Detroit Pistons big Isaiah Stewart exited the second quarter of their road game against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, Nov. 7, with a left ankle sprain.
He tweaked his ankle early in the second quarter, rolling it while jogging down the floor. He had a visible limp after getting up and went back to the locker room during their timeout at the 8:36 mark of the quarter, and was ruled out of the game at halftime. Ron Holland started the second half.

Stewart is in the midst of a career season and staking his claim as one of the league’s top defenders, averaging 11.5 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.4 blocks through eight games. He finished Friday’s game with four points and three rebounds in nine minutes.
