The Huskers will play without their QB1 for the first time in 23 games, a talented freshman gets his first start in his hometown, the team tries to tie last season’s win total and the Rose Bowl might have its first BIG RED takeover since the 2002 Rose Bowl – and dear god, please the results be better tonight.
It appears there were no travel issues getting the Husker army – fans, team or their support – to the City of Light, so things should be ready to rock if a few UCLA fans show up, too. The storylines are well-drawn, so let’s get on with the vibe:
- We start as always with the already packed Big 10 availability report. In addition to Dylan Raiola joining the crutch dance, Dasan McCullough was a surprise add – and the Big 10 was so surprised they got his number wrong.
