Happy Sunday, Spurs fans! I meant to preview this morning’s match between London City Lionesses and YOUR Tottenham Hotspur Women but life got in the way yesterday. London City are a relatively new club — just six years old, a local club without a parent men’s club organization that have been hanging around the fringes of the WSL until last season, when they won the Championship. They’re owned by Michelle Kang, a South Korean businesswoman and owner of several football clubs including Olympique Lyon and Washington Spirit. They currently play in Bromley in an adorable ground that holds just over 5k fans. London City have been hoovering up free agent, aging talent this summer ahead of their first WSL campaign including England internationals Nikita Parris and Katie Zelem, as well as former Spurs player Alana Kennedy.
Anyway, Spurs Women are currently fifth in the table and London City sixth, so this should be a pretty fun game. It’s available for FREE on YouTube.
