Watch: Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson blows past Bucs for 55-yard TD

New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson set the tone coming out of halftime by burning the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense for a 55-yard touchdown.

It was the longest rushing touchdown by a Patriots rookie since 1999. The touchdown flipped the game in the Patriots’ favor by a 21-10 margin following the extra point.

The Patriots struggled to get the running game going all afternoon up to that point. Henderson used his athleticism and speed to immediately take advantage of the hole that opened up for his second rushing touchdown of the season.

This play served as a reminder of the explosive ability that Henderson brings to the running game with the ball in his hands.

The Patriots have been leaning on Henderson with veteran Rhamondre Stevenson out due to injury. Now, the Ohio State product is making the most of his snaps and showing that he can be a real difference-maker on offense.
