Michigan State men’s basketball is back inside the top 20 of the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 rankings.
The Spartans picked up a notable win over Arkansas last weekend, and to no surprise, we saw them move up the AP poll on Monday. Michigan State jumped up five spots to No. 17 in the updated rankings that were released on Monday afternoon.
Michigan State is also ranked No. 17 in the updated USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll that was released on Monday.
Michigan State is 2-0 on the year, with a pair of wins during the opening week of the season. The Spartans beat Colgate on Monday and then followed that up with a thrilling victory over Arkansas on Saturday — who is now ranked No. 21 this week. Michigan State plays only once this week: a home game against San Jose State on Thursday.
