Nine African nations qualify for the Round of 16

The list of teams qualified for the round of 32 of the U17 World Cup, currently taking place in Qatar, was finalized this Tuesday.
African teams have delivered an outstanding performance, with nine representatives from the continent advancing to this stage of the competition—a historic record for African football at this level.
The nations making history are: Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, Zambia, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Uganda.
The young Lions of Teranga from Senegal finished top of their group, while South Africa, Zambia, Burkina Faso, and Mali all secured second place in their respective groups.
Meanwhile, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and Uganda qualified as some of the best third-placed teams.
