NEW YORK – MMA Junkie is on scene and reporting live from Friday’s UFC 322 fighter weigh-ins, which begin at 9 a.m. ET/6 a.m. PT.
The official weigh-ins take place at the UFC host hotel in Manhattan and precede the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans, which take place at 5 p.m. ET at The Theatre, adjacent to Madison Square Garden, which hosts Saturday’s event (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPNews/Disney+/FX, ESPN+) .
Among those weighing in are welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) and former lightweight champ Islam Makhachev (27-1 MMA, 16-1 UFC), who moves up to welterweight for the first time in pursuit of a second divisional title.
In the co-feature, women’s flyweight titleholder Valentina Shevchenko (25-4-1 MMA, 14-3-1 UFC) looks to fend off Zhang Weili (26-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC), a two-time former strawweight champion looking to make history of her own.
