Watch Jonathan Smith's post game press conference, discussing the state of the program

On Saturday afternoon, the Michigan State Spartans dropped their seventh straight game, falling to Penn State, 28-10. The loss, another painful display of where the program has fallen in 2025, is just another indictment on Jonathan Smith’s tenure in East Lansing.

After the game, it felt like Smith showed more emotion (finally) and opened himself up to some vulnerable answers about himself and the program he currently leads.

Discussing the game, and where the Spartans faltered in all three phases, to the recruiting violations that the program suffered and pleading that this roster still needs more time to develop, Smith let it all out in his press conference following the loss to the Nittany Lions.
