New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel expects to see running back Rhamondre Stevenson and wide receiver Kayshon Boutte on the practice field on Monday.
Whether that leads to them actually returning for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals remains to be seen. However, it’s a crucial step toward their eventual return.
Stevenson has been sidelined for the last three games with a toe injury. His absence has led to more snaps for rookie TreVeyon Henderson, who has clearly made the most of his opportunities with five touchdowns in the last two games combined.
Meanwhile, Boutte has been out for two games with a hamstring injury.
“Hopefully, yeah. Hopefully, I expect to see them at practice today,” Vrabel said on The Greg Hill Show on Monday. “Once they get through that, then we’ll move on to Wednesday and see where they are and how they progress through the week.”
Could the Patriots get some players (Boutte, Stevenson, etc.) back on offense this week? HC Mike Vrabel gives an update!

The Bengals are by far the worst defensive team in the NFL, and it would be a huge boost for the Patriots’ offense to go into that game healthy.
Boutte has been quarterback Drake Maye’s best deep threat option at wide receiver this season, and the running back duo of Stevenson and Henderson has the potential to be one of the best in the NFL. If there was ever a game for Maye to run up his numbers in the MVP debate, this week’s road matchup against the Bengals might be his best shot.
