Serious damage was discovered inside a locker room at Indian Hill High School after the Braves defeated Taft’s football team Nov. 14.
After the game was over, Indian Hill says they found the school’s visitors’ locker room damaged.
Photos from Indian Hill Athletic Director Brian Phelps show the damage from inside the locker room used by Taft.
Phelps sent a statement, saying:
“Friday, November 14, during the Indian Hill/Taft playoff game, some drywall damage was sustained to a wall in the Indian Hill visitors’ locker room. The administration at Indian Hill is working directly and in collaboration with the administration at Taft on repairs.”The locker room damage followed a game where Taft fans voiced their anger on Facebook over several calls, including two late penalties that some thought impacted the outcome.
Neither Indian Hill nor Cincinnati Public Schools officials agreed to Fox interview requests regarding the damage. The station did reach out to the Indian Hill rangers who are on staff for all home games.
They said a police report was filed, but the school is not pressing charges at this time. If charges are not pursued, the damages will be handled through the schools.
CPS issued the following statement:
Cincinnati Public Schools is aware of the damage to the visiting locker room at Indian Hill High School following Friday night’s playoff game. We do not condone destructive behavior and remain committed to promoting sportsmanship and respect at all athletic events. Cincinnati Public Schools will continue to work with the leadership of Indian Hill.Cincinnati Public Schools.
