As has been the case plenty of times this season, the Oregon Ducks‘ immense depth and talent was on full display in Friday night’s 42-13 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
On the offensive side, ten different receivers caught a pass, while six players recorded a carry. Reserve running back Jay Harris scored his first touchdown of the season, showing off his talent despite receiving little playing time this season.
Defensively, no player had more than six tackles, with 22 players amassing one or more total tackles. Late in the game, the Ducks‘ backup defensive unit continued to hold tough.
When immensely talented players aren’t getting play time until deep into the fourth quarter, it’s inevitable for some players to want to transfer to a place that will offer them more play time. That’s already happened to the Oregon program in years past, with a number of players excelling at their new spots.
