Huddersfield Giants have re-signed half-back Oliver Russell on a one-year deal from Super League rivals Wakefield Trinity.

The 27-year-old’s solitary season with Wakefield was hit by injury and ended with a loan stint back at Huddersfield.

Before leaving for Belle Vue for the 2025 campaign, Huddersfield academy graduate Russell spent nine years with the club and made more than 100 first-team appearances.

“I’m over the moon to be back,” Russell told Huddersfield’s website.

“We all have personal and then collective goals and we’re working hard in pre-season to ensure that we have everyone on the field ready to tackle a long season and make sure we’re pushing that top six.”
