Steelers TE Darnell Washington named Week 11 Angry Runs winner for viral play vs. Bengals

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Darnell Washington has been named the Week 11 Angry Runs winner for his viral play against the Cincinnati Bengals — decimating three defenders for a massive 31-yard gain.

On Tuesday, Good Morning Football’s Kyle Brandt crowned Washington as the first, second, and third finalist for this week’s Angry Runs — an honor befitting the huge Steelers tight end after he embarrassed Bengals LB Barrett Carter, S Geno Stone, and CB DJ Turner II all on one play.

An incredible play that earned Washington the Angry Runs Scepter, many fans took to social media to compare the moment to Vance McDonald’s equally impressive stiff-arm on Tampa Bay Buccaneers S Chris Conte — one that went 75 yards for a touchdown.

Washington’s next opportunity to defend the Angry Runs Scepter will come in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears, an important road matchup for the Steelers on November 23 at 1:00 p.m. EST.
