Patriots WR Stefon Diggs reveals he has been playing with a broken finger

FOXBOROUGH — Stefon Diggs had some interesting news for reporters on Wednesday.

The New England Patriots‘ wide receiver revealed that he has been playing with a broken finger.

“I broke my finger, like, a couple weeks ago,” he casually mentioned. “So I was just telling [Drake], ‘Hey, I love the way you throw the ball.’ Just because he has that touch. I mean, I got nothing against you putting a little mustard here or there, to fit it in the hole,”

A reporter followed that up asking him to speak more about his injury. But he just brushed it off.

“Something like that,” he responded. “Don’t worry about it. Least of my worries.”

If that’s the truth, then this injury hasn’t slowed him down at all. The receiver finished the team’s Week 11 matchup against the New York Jets with 105 receiving yards on Thursday Night Football. So far this season, he has 59 receptions for 659 yards and three touchdowns across 11 games.

Diggs is a competitor, and he isn’t letting anything minor keep him from playing.
