World Cup 2026: Historic qualification for Curaçao
For the very first time, Curaçao will take part in a FIFA World Cup. The small Caribbean nation, home to just 150,000 people, secured qualification by finishing top of Group B in the CONCACAF qualifiers.
Despite the absence of their coach Dick Advocaat, who returned to the Netherlands for family reasons, the players kept their composure and clinched this historic moment. The entire nation is now celebrating as a dream becomes reality, ready to take on the world’s football giants at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
