Ever since she was 6 years old, Kelsie Whitmore knew she wanted to play professional baseball.
Next year, she will get the chance in the newly created Professional Women’s Baseball League.
Kelsie was the first overall pick for San Francisco in the entry draft, returning to the Bay Area after playing one season with the Oakland Ballers.
She spoke to ABC7 about what it was like being the first overall draft pick, and what fans can expect to see starting in August.
