Stefon Diggs gives ultimate praise to Patriots OC Josh McDaniels

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs praised offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels when he met with the media earlier this week.

Diggs has been an integral part of the Patriots’ offense in his first season with the team. He has racked up 59 catches for 659 yards and three touchdowns. He has recorded three 100-yard receiving games and has developed a strong rapport with quarterback Drake Maye.

The wideout has also been invaluable as a veteran in the young wide receivers room by helping mentor many of the players on the roster. With that said, McDaniels has been one of the biggest reasons for his seamless fit in New England.

Diggs even went as far as calling the offensive coach a “genius.”

“I’ve been in the league a little while, but he’s taught me a lot since I’ve been here, even in my 11th year of playing football,” Diggs told media members. “Don’t ever stop learning, no matter how long you’ve been playing the game. I feel like his approach to the game, he’s a little bit of a genius. He’s been seeing it a lot. He understands flows of the game, and he understands being aggressive and being smart.”

Diggs’ praise shows how highly regarded McDaniels is in the locker room.

It’s no surprise from the same offensive coach who worked alongside the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, for so many years in New England. He is one of the sharpest minds in the NFL and a legitimate all-time great offensive playcaller.
