Jameis Winston did it all on Sunday afternoon in Detroit.
Winston, in his second start this season for an injured Jaxson Dart, not only threw a pair of touchdowns early at Ford Field on Sunday for the New York Giants to put them up early over the Lions. He also caught a wild trick-play touchdown in the fourth quarter to extend their lead even further.
Winston faked a handoff up the middle and then pitched the ball off to wide receiver Gunner Olszewski early in the fourth quarter before taking up the left side of the field, seemingly unnoticed. Winston, after waving his hand in the air frantically to get Olszewski’s attention, caught the pass and then somehow managed to shake off Lions linebacker Derrick Barnes before walking into the end zone.

That put the Giants up 27-17 at the time.
Winston got the Giants out in front immediately on Sunday. He led a quick four-play drive to kick off the game, and capped it with a 39-yard touchdown pass to Wan’Dale Robinson. They kicked a field goal near the end of the first quarter to push their lead to double digits, too.
Then, after Jared Goff hit Amon-Ra St. Brown for an 11-yard score to get Detroit on the board, Winston immediately responded and found Isaiah Hodgins for a 12-yard touchdown right up the middle.
Sunday marked Winston’s second start of the season, his first with the Giants. He spent last season with the Cleveland Browns, and then signed a two-year, $8 million deal to land in New York. He took over for Dart last weekend after Dart landed in concussion protocol, but the Giants fell 27-20 to the Green Bay Packers.
