Mohammed Kudus: Chris Hughton comments on his transfer to Tottenham
Former Ghana national team coach Chris Hughton believes Tottenham pulled off a fantastic move by signing Mohammed Kudus during the summer transfer window.
The Spurs brought in seven players this summer, with varying degrees of impact. But Kudus has clearly been the standout in terms of adapting to his new environment. Hughton praised the decision of the London club’s management and the way the Ghanaian midfielder has slotted into his new team:
I think it was an excellent signing. The deal for Kudus made a lot of sense, especially from a financial perspective. Tottenham needed a player of his profile. It’s a big stadium, a big stage in England, and he’s started his Tottenham career very well. He fits seamlessly into a system that favors crosses into the box.
Kudus, who had a disappointing season after a promising start at West Ham, now looks fully revitalized at Tottenham. He enjoys the freedom given by Thomas Frank, who encourages him even when he loses possession.
