The No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish put their backups in against the Syracuse Orange because the Irish were rolling — they had 49 points at halftime.
Notre Dame’s third running back Aneyas Williams, who was the third-down back often during the 2024 season, showed that teammates Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price aren’t the only backs at Notre Dame who are dangerous. Williams took a handoff 30 yards for a score that put the Irish up 63-0, continuing a historic blowout.
It’s tough enough for teams to gameplan for Love and Price, but Williams is a weapon, too.
