With Brian Thomas Jr. out for Sunday’s game against Arizona, which Jacksonville Jaguars’ wide receiver should you start on your fantasy football team?
Thomas Jr. is going to miss his third consecutive game as he continues to work his way back from an ankle injury he sustained against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 9.
This past week, without Thomas Jr., leading the way in snaps at wideout for the Jaguars were Parker Washington, Tim Patrick, and Jakobi Meyers.
Washington has generated some big plays during this season and has three nine-plus target games. However, I would start Meyers.
Although this is only Meyers’ third game since being traded to Jacksonville, he’s quickly become a go-to target for Trevor Lawrence.
In Week 10, Meyers caught all three passes thrown his way for 41 yards.
This past week, he led the Jaguars in targets, receptions, and receiving yards, hauling in five catches for 64 yards.
As Meyers continues to get more acclimated to the Jacksonville offense, his opportunities should continue to grow.
Between his nine games this season with Las Vegas and Jacksonville, Meyers has caught 33-of-48 passes for 352 yards at 10.7 yards per catch. Meyers does not yet have a receiving touchdown.
