Notre Dame football had its final regular season home game of the 2025 campaign this weekend, and it was the last time to host prospects in a game-day atmosphere.
While it wasn’t one of the Irish’s bigger weekends, it was still an important one that could mold the way some of its future classes shake out. There wasn’t much action on the upcoming class, as it’s pretty full, but there was one very big note on Sunday.
With news on multiple classes, as this update will go over prospects in the 2026, 2027 and 2028 class. Find out below the latest news with Notre Dame football recruiting below.
A leader has emerged for Kemon Spell
FONG BOMB: Rivals’ @SWiltfong_ has logged an expert pick for Georgia to land 5-star RB Kemon Spell💣
Spell decommitted from Penn State in October. https://t.co/6On4CquktKpic.twitter.com/uTFkUvHAeO
— Rivals (@Rivals) November 23, 2025
It very much looked like the Irish were going to steal Spell, the nation’s No. 1 running back and No. 7 overall prospect, away from Penn State, and that smoke got heavy after James Franklin was fired. However, with just a few weeks until signing day, it looks like Georgia has emerged as the leader. Notre Dame has long been after the 5-star running back, but it looks like the Bulldogs late entry won’t hurt their cause.
2027 tight end Jack Brown narrow his list to 6 teams
Let’s go!!! https://t.co/MqJ1q5ouYV
— Jack Brown (@JackBrown1795) November 21, 2025
Brown is one of the top tight ends in the 2027 class, as the No. 107 overall prospect. At 6-foot, 5-inches and 215-pounds, he’d need to add on a bit more weight to be an every-down player at the next level. The good news is there’s plenty of time before that happens and Notre Dame, along with five other schools, see the enormous potential in Brown’s game.
Offer to 2027 running back Mikel Stephen
After a great conversation with @CarterAuman & @coachseider I’m humbled and blessed to have received an offer from Notre Dame 🍀🍀🍀@Marcus_Freeman1@TimBrownJrND@NDFootball@ChadSimmons_@TomLoy247@TheUCReport@adamgorney@DemetricDWarren@MCJags_Football@CoachT_Rob… pic.twitter.com/i2F58k1CTa
— Mikel Stephen C/O 2027 (@mikelgohard) November 21, 2025
While the offer out the Stephen was before we found out about Spell, you have to believe that the Irish staff knew about it. With two areas committed in the 2026 class, taking a third was a luxury. Notre Dame will now look to the next cycle, and has its sights set on the nation’s No. 569 overall prospect.
2026 running back commit Javian Osborne sets multiple records
Rewrote History Again last night. Last week I was the All Time Touchdown Leader this week I am now the All Time Rushing Leader in Forney History!! with 6,506 total Career Rushing Yards #AGTG#AKR#GoIrishpic.twitter.com/7Zp0NIyl8U
— Javian “JO” Osborne (@osborne__era) November 22, 2025
It has been quite the high school career for Javian Osborne, and late this season he was able to set two Forney (TX) High School records. He’s atop the school’s leaderboard in career rushing yards, 6,506, and touchdowns with 100. Those are video game numbers that Osborne will be bringing with him the South Bend next season.
Offer to 2027 defensive back Brandon Sherrard
Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Notre Dame.☘️@CoachMickens@JourdanBlake_pic.twitter.com/OQ86Sy0lsQ
— Brandon “B10” Sherrard (@Sherrard_Brando) November 21, 2025
Notre Dame loves its big cornerbacks and recruiting the state of Texas, both boxes which Sherrard checks. At 6-foot, 1-inch and 180-pounds, his frame is already close to being ready to contribute at the next level. Sherrard is the No. 251 overall prospect, and already holds over 15 offers.
Offer to 2028 defensive back Deonte Flemings Jr.
After a great game day visit and conversation with @JourdanBlake_@CoachMickens I am extremely blessed to receive an offer from @NDFootball! @COACHSLOCUM@bo_orlando@TomLoy247@Ski_Axel@PRZVicCastillo@PrepRedzonePA@adamgorney@Mr_Consistent_2@chris_hummer@CoachMunson7pic.twitter.com/oc2pOGvo0y
— 𝓓𝓮𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓮 “𝓓𝓾𝓬𝓴” 𝓕𝓵𝓮𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓼(2028 DB) (@d_flemings02) November 22, 2025
Don’t forget about Pennsylvania, another state the Notre Dame frequents often while recruiting. Flemings isn’t ranked at the moment, but also had an elite corner frame at 6-foot, 3-inches and 190-pounds. The Irish are his first big offer, and that could pay off in the long run.
Offer to 2027 running back Lathan Whisenton
I’m blessed to receive an offer from Notre Dame! @JourdanBlake_@NDFootball@dctf@TXTopTalent@JButler_210@samspiegs@JohnGarcia_Jr@Bdrumm_Rivals@Rivals @RivalsFriedman @TheUCReport@GPowersScout@MidwayFB@k_crane13pic.twitter.com/HD0zSTz3UV
— 4⭐️ Lathan Whisenton (@LathanWhisento) November 21, 2025
Another 2027 back gettin an offer this weekend, Whisenton is also a track star, and the Irish love recruiting multi-sport athletes. At 5-foot, 11-inches and 195-pounds, he already looks like he could be in Notre Dame’s current running back room. Whisenton is the nation’s No. 292 overall prospect.
