African goalkeepers did not particularly shine during the U17 World Cup.
This situation partly reflects the mixed performances of the various African teams in the tournament.
As a reminder, no African side managed to reach the semi-finals. The journeys of Burkina Faso and Morocco ended in the quarter-finals.
Below is the ranking of the best African goalkeepers at the U17 World Cup:
Lwandiso Radebe (South Africa): 27 saves
Rahim Ouattara (Burkina Faso): 23 saves
Slim Bouaskar (Tunisia): 18 saves
Omar Abdel Aziz (Egypt): 17 saves
Christo Chitambala (Zambia U17): 15 saves
