Which Washington Commanders' wide receivers should return in 2026?

The Washington Commanders‘ wide receiver position was a lively topic on Monday.

The “Sports Junkies” of 106.7 The Fan hosted a lively, thought-provoking discussion.

“EB” (Eric Bickel) continues to be the biggest fan of the Commanders among the other guys. JP Flaim and “Cakes” have their interest levels in the Commanders’ rise and fall over the years, while Bishop clearly is the least interested in the team. The interesting discussion on Monday involved EB, John “Cakes” Auville, and John-Paul Flaim discussing what receivers they wanted back on the team next season.

At one point, the dialogue between the three went like this: “Cakes,” said, “I have an opinion. Here’s your bus ticket, Chris Moore. Have fun at your next stop.” Cakes was responding, of course, to Moore dropping some passes this season. Bickel responded first, “He’s made a couple of plays.” Cakes was having none of it: “He stinks!” he said, raising his voice. Bickel countered, “I don’t hate him, but I couldn’t care less.”

JPF then reasoned, “In theory, you are going to get McCaffrey (Luke) back, and you are going to have Lane (Jaylin) and McClaurin (Terry). So that is three guys right there.”

Bickel moved on to other names. “This is a ding (positive move) for me, Treylon Burks,” he declared rather confidently. “I want him back.” You could hear laughter as Cakes disagreed and laughed at Bickel. “He’s a buzz (buzzer) for me,” countered Cakes. “What?”, Bickel expressed in disbelief. “He’s a former first-round pick.” He’s just a piece of trash that Adam Peters found on the street,” Cakes stated firmly.

“Look at what happens,” continued Bickel. “Sometimes first-round picks go elsewhere.” He was implying that perhaps Burks, being in Washington, with Jayden Daniels throwing to him, is going to have more success than he would have enjoyed with the Titans.

It was a fun discussion, and those guys are often very entertaining with their opinions on the Commanders.
