The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with defensive lineman Malcolm Roach, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The deal is worth up to $29.25 million with $14 million guaranteed, according to Pelissero.
Roach (6-3, 290 pounds) originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Texas with the New Orleans Saints in 2020. After spending the first four years of his career in New Orleans, Roach signed with the Broncos in 2024, reuniting with coach Sean Payton.
An underrated lineman, Roach does not get the recognition he deserves in part because he plays a rotational role on a stacked defensive line that features Zach Allen, John Franklin-Myers and D.J. Jones. Through 23 games in Denver, Roach has totaled 64 tackles, 11 quarterback hits, 4.5 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He is a key member of one of the best defenses in the NFL, and he’s now signed through the 2028 season.
Roach is the third player the Broncos have given an extension coming out of their bye week, joining center Luke Wattenberg (four-year deal) and kicker Wil Lutz (three-year deal).
