AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan is unlikely to join Inter at the end of the season despite the Nerazzurri’s strong interest.

According to several Italian sources via FCInter1908, Maignan remains committed to the Rossoneri.

Mike Maignan has yet to sign a new deal with Milan, even though his current contract runs out next summer.

Indeed, the 30-year-old’s whopping €5.5 million wage demands have been a major stumbling block.

Therefore, his summer exit is firmly on the cards.

With Inter set to release Yann Sommer on a free transfer, they’re desperate to sign a top-class goalkeeper.

Furthermore, Beppe Marotta has been scouring the market for reinforcements since the summer.

Cagliari ace Elia Caprile has emerged as a concrete target for the Nerazzurri.

However, Inter are reportedly ‘dreaming’ of signing Maignan.

Four years ago, the 20-time Italian champions convinced Hakan Calhanoglu to swap allegiances at San Siro.

Indeed, the Turkish midfielder ran down his contract with Milan before joining Inter on a Bosman deal.
