Complete injury report for Joel Embiid, Sixers vs. Nets on the road

The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the Brooklyn Nets on the road on Friday as they look to put a halt to this current 2-game skid they’re on. The Sixers have shown off a lot of resilience in the 2025-26 season and will have to do so again on the road on Friday.

As far as injuries are concerned, Kelly Oubre Jr. (left knee sprain) and Trendon Watford (left adductor strain) are both sidelined. Oubre is inching closer to his re-evaluation period while Watford has a ways to go following his injury in Tuesday’s loss to the Orlando Magic.

As for Joel Embiid (right knee injury management), the big fella is listed as out again. This will be his ninth straight game missed–the eighth due to this right knee issue. He was upgraded to questionable against the Magic before being ruled out. The Sixers have maintained that he is day-to-day, so one will have to see if he can play on Sunday when Philadelphia returns home to host the Atlanta Hawks.

VJ Edgecombe (left calf tightness) will miss his third straight game. The Sixers want to be as careful as possible with the young man as he works through the injury.

Paul George (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable while Adem Bona (right ankle sprain) is listed as probable.

The Sixers and Nets will tip off in the final NBA Cup game for both teams at 7:30 p.m. EST from the Barclays Center on Friday.
