Joshua Kimmich says Bayern Munich will ‘learn a lot’ from thrashing at hands of Arsenal

Bayern Munich was outplayed by Arsenal in the Champions League — there are no two ways around.

The Gunners were hungrier, more efficient, and far more dangerous from the outset of the game. However, even though the game ended 3-1 in favor of Arsenal, Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich thinks that there is much to be absorbed from the match.

“This was an extremely important game for us. I’m convinced we’ll learn a lot from it and improve certain aspects of our game. We had games last season like the Barça game, which wasn’t good, and that we learned a lot from. It’s important to take the next step in our development,” Kimmich said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

Bayern Munich has a strong track record of making adjustments after poor performances. No doubt, there will be some work done on set piece defense and likely some film work to review decision-making in the final third. It was not a disaster by any means, but the squad knows it must be better moving forward.
