AUSTIN, Texas – For the first time in Southeastern Conference play, Texas A&M pays a visit to its longtime arch-rival, with plenty on the line.

The Aggies seek to wrap up an undefeated regular season and clinch its trip to next week’s SEC title game. But Texas would like nothing more than to spoil those plans when the Longhorns welcome in A&M to Darrell K. Royal-Memorial Stadium for a Black Friday showdown.

Texas A&M comes in with a record of 11-0 and 7-0 in the SEC, and seeks its first undefeated regular season since 1992. Texas, which was ranked No. 1 in the preseason by several publications, comes in at 8-3 and still harbor faint hopes of making it into the College Football Playoff.

In the all-time series, Texas leads 77-37-5, though it has been 19-19 over the past 50 years. A&M is making its first visit to Austin since 2010, when the Aggies posted a 24-17 win against Texas when both teams were in the Big 12 Conference.

The Longhorns have won the last two games against A&M, both in College Station. Texas won, 27-25, on a late field goal in 2011, the Aggies’ last year in the Big 12, and then last season, when the Longhorns reunited with A&M as SEC rivals, Texas prevailed, 17-7.
