Penn State’s current NCAA tournament projections
Sunday will be Selection Sunday for the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament. Going into the final weekend of the season, Penn State seems to be sitting in a decent enough spot to secure one of the seeded spots in the field. The NCAA’s current bracket predictions have Penn State receiving a No. 7 seed and facing Arkansas State in the first round, with a potential matchup with projected No. 2 seed SMU awaiting the winner. ESPN’s updated tournament projections agree wiht Penn State in line for a No. 7 seed, along with Florida, Northern Iowa, and Marquette.
A loss to Nebraska may not impact Penn State’s overall seeding and projections much, given the dominance of the Cornhuskers this season. But dropping a match at Iowa could absolutely hurt the seeding projections on the eve of selection day.
