Broncos CB Pat Surtain returns after missing 3 games with pec injury

Patrick Surtain is expected to return to the starting lineup this Sunday night for the Denver Broncos. The Broncos will play the Washington Commanders, and although Surtain has been out for three games with a torn pectoral muscle, they have held it down, improving their record to 9-2 and at the top of the AFC West.

After being limited on Wednesday, Surtain fully participated on Thursday and Friday, and he has no injury status on the team’s final injury report. He told reporters after Friday’s practice that he will wear a harness to protect his pec, according to the Denver Post‘s Parker Gabriel.

“It feels great, honestly,” Surtain said, via Arnie Stapleton of the Associated Press. “It’s been a long couple of weeks not being out there. But I’m grateful and blessed to be back — to be back healthy.”

Surtain returning will allow the Broncos to laser in on not just the AFC West, but also help them contend for a first-round bye as the AFC’s top seed down the stretch.
