Browns fans, Shedeur Sanders stans react to the 26-8 loss to the 49ers

The Cleveland Browns have officially clinched a losing record after dropping Sunday’s game to the 49ers, 26-8.

The Browns kept the first half close, but were shut out after halftime as San Francisco piled up points to pull away. Cleveland has plenty of questions to answer. The team has five games left to figure out what they’ve got in Shedeur Sanders, and they’re just a few weeks away from needing to make a decision on the futures of the coaching staff and the front office.

Let’s take a look at how Browns fans are reacting to Sunday’s loss.

Shedeur Sanders and the offense

Cleveland’s offense cooled off after halftime, despite racking up decent yards in the first half against San Francisco. Sanders finished the second start of his NFL career with 16 completions on 25 attempts for 149 yards and a passing touchdown. Cleveland picked up 138 yards on 31 attempts on the ground.

Myles Garrett and the defense

Garrett added another sack to his season total on Sunday. He’s now sitting at 19 through 12 games this season, and needs just four over the Browns’ remaining five games to take sole possession of the NFL’s single-season sack record. Despite being outscored 16-0 in the second half, the Browns allowed the 49ers to gain just 252 yards and 3.9 yards per play over the course of Sunday’s game.

The coaching

The Browns are now 6-23 since the start of last season, and a consistent theme with this season has been fans’ continuing dissatisfaction with Cleveland’s coaching staff. After a dismal showing against the 49ers, that angst persists.
