Another week of NFL action has now officially passed, and yet again, former Alabama Crimson Tide players were in the spotlight across the league.
A week which included the league’s Thanksgiving games, many former Alabama players impressed on both sides of the ball during the Week 13 slate, headlined by a former star Crimson Tide quarterback.
In addition to that name, a former Alabama wide receiver was also back in the spotlight during Week 13, while many defensive performances were also memorable.
With Jordan Battle, Malachi Moore, Josh Jacobs, and Kool-Aid McKinstry among the names who just missed the list, here are five of Alabama’s biggest standouts from NFL Week 13.
Bryce Young, Quarterback – Carolina Panthers
Former Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young had another stellar showing during Carolina’s 31-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams, completing 15-of-20 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns. Young also rushed for 23 yards across five attempts, and finished with an 85.7 QBR, as well as a 147.1 passer rating.
Jameson Williams, Wide Receiver – Detroit Lions
Jameson Williams was one of the NFL’s standout performers Thanksgiving Day during Detroit’s 31-24 loss against the Green Bay Packers. Detroit’s leading receiver in the loss, Williams hauled in seven receptions for 144 yards and one touchdown, which translated to an average of 20.6 yards per catch.
Dallas Turner, Outside Linebacker – Minnesota Vikings
Dallas Turner was one of the bright spots for Minnesota in a 26-0 shutout loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Finishing with five total tackles, four of which were solo, Turner also posted two sacks, two TFL, one pass defense, and three quarterback hits.
Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety – Miami Dolphins
Veteran safety Minkah Fitzpatrick had one of his top performances of the season in a 21-17 win for Miami over the New Orleans Saints. Fitzpatrick finished with seven tackles, four of which were solo, along with one sack, one TFL, and one quarterback hit.
Brian Branch, Safety – Detroit Lions
Brian Branch was Detroit’s leading tackler during the Lions 31-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The safety ended the game with 10 total tackles, seven of which were solo, along with two pass defenses.
