Watch: New signing Seth Curry gets shots up at practice with Warriors

While Steph Curry is sidelined with a quad injury, much-needed reinforcements appear to be on the way for the Golden State Warriors’ short-handed backcourt. On Monday, the Warriors welcomed back Seth Curry. The veteran guard signed with the Warriors late in the offseason and spent training camp with the team before being waived due to salary cap restrictions. On Monday, the Warriors signed Curry for the remainder of the season, setting up Seth and Steph to be teammates for the first time in the NBA.

Curry is set to be available on Tuesday when the Warriors host the NBA defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder at Chase Center. Prior to suiting up in his new No. 31 Golden State jersey, the veteran sharpshooter got up some shots at practice in San Francisco.

Curry has played 11 seasons in the NBA, most recently with the Charlotte Hornets last season. Curry led the NBA in 3-point field goal percentage last season at 45.6% shooting from deep on 2.7 attempts per game. Curry averaged 6.5 points on 47.8% shooting from the field in 15.6 minutes per game with the Hornets last season.

Along with the addition of Curry, De’Anthony Melton’s return from an ACL injury appears to be looming for the Warriors. The Warriors recently announced Melton is expected to be activated at some point during their upcoming road swing.

The Warriors are set to meet the Thunder on Tuesday at 7 p.m. PT at Chase Center. While the Warriors are 2-4 over their last six games, the Thunder bring a Western Conference-best 20-1 record to Chase Center on Tuesday.
