Two former Notre Dame stars are Walter Payton Man of the Year nominees

It’s always fun to track how former Notre Dame football stars are doing at the next level, and for two of them they received one of the NFL’s highest honors on Thursday.

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams and Seattle Seahawks safety Julian Love were both named as their team’s nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. It’s given out annually to the player who shows the most commitment to their communities along with philanthropic pursuits according to NFL.com.

It’s viewed as one of the highest honors that an NFL player can get, and it’s great to see two former Irish stars being nominated. Even if Williams and Love don’t win, they’ll surely continue their work with local communities.
