Kayshon Boutte's sideline comments foreshadowed Marcus Jones touchdown

New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte foreshadowed cornerback Marcus Jones’ touchdown on the sidelines during the Monday night game against the New York Giants.

He implored the team to get a touchdown instead of a field goal, and Jones did just that.

Jones took a 94-yard punt return to the house in the first quarter, with the Patriots already holding a 3-0 lead. He found a hole through the blockers, took off and never looked back. Given his incredible track-like speed, there was no catching him in the open field.

Boutte could be seen jumping up and down, before running down the sideline to meet Jones when he came off the field.

“When’s the celly gonna happen,” Boutte asked Jones. “…Back to the bench we go.”

Jones’ touchdown sparked the 33-15 blowout win for the Patriots over the Giants.

It was Jones’ third touchdown in a season where he has looked like one of the most electric playmakers in the NFL. He has earned every bit of the three-year, $36 million extension the Patriots gave him back in October.
