Texas A&M remains at No. 7 in latest US LBM Coaches Poll

With the conference championships and regular season officially finalized, the US LBM Coaches Poll kept the Texas A&M Aggies at No. 7 in this week’s ranking.

While the head coach Mike Elko and company did not end this year’s ventures as they were seeking to, the loss against Texas in the Lone Star Showdown will show what needs to be improved as the team moves into postseason play. Texas A&M learned its fate for the CFP on Sunday afternoon as well, as the Aggies received the No. 7 seed and will host the No. 10 seed Miami Hurricanes in Bryan-College Station, Texas, at Kyle Field in the first round of the playoff. If the Aggies defeat the Hurricanes, the Maroon and White will face the No. 3 seed Georgia Bulldogs.

The Aggies remained in the US LBM Coaches Poll top 25 for the entire 2025 campaign. The system is conducted weekly throughout the college football season using a panel of head coaches at Football Bowl Subdivision schools.

The panel is chosen by random draw from a pool of coaches who have indicated to the American Football Coaches Association their willingness to participate. Each coach submits a top 25 with a first-place vote worth 25 points, second place 24, and so on down to one point for 25th.
