The Arizona Cardinals opened their practice week Wednesday in preparation for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans and released their first injury report of the week.
Ten players didn’t practice, but three (Kelvin Beachum, Josh Sweat and Dalvin Tomlinson) had rest days, one (Evan Brown) had a personal issue and another, safety Budda Baker, was a combination of personal and a thumb injury.
Brown did not play Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams for a personal issue, but there has been no information disclosed about the issue.
Running back Trey Benson, who hasn’t played since Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks, had his 21-day practice period expire, and he will remain on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday that Benson just hasn’t progressed to the point that he can go out there and play football right now.”
Of all the players listed, eight are starters.
Meanwhile, the Texans had seven players not practice and four were limited. A total of five are starters.
