PETOSKEY — The volleyball record books are just getting started within a young program at North Central Michigan College.
But sophomore standout Chloe Winchell made sure future Timberwolves will be chasing her for quite some time.
A two-time All Michigan Community College Athletic Association Northern Conference first team all-conference selection and 2025 All-MCCAA selection as an outside hitter, Winchell closed her career this fall with 16 volleyball school records.
Notable on that list included most career kills (660), most points in a career (717), most kills a match, regardless of set length, and single season kills (367).
Needless to say, the Freeland native made the kind of impact on the volleyball court that’ll be noticed for some time around Petoskey.
It also helped her get noticed outside of Petoskey and Winchell took advantage of that, becoming the latest NCMC volleyball player to find a home outside of two years in Petoskey.

Winchell’s impact was also felt on the NCMC schedule, with the Timberwolves brining in back to back strong seasons of 20 and 16 wins, including a combined 14 conference wins.
